Three (3) children of Elijah Shanklin and Beedie Franeces (Archer) McClellan, Lester, Pat, and Burnelle, survived into the new century(2000). Pat Neff McClellan died in July of 2000 and Lester Archer McClellan died in November, 2005. With Lester’s death, the century long (101 years) presence of E.S. McClellan children living in Coleman County, Texas, ended.

Even though none of the children of Elijah Shanklin and Beedie Frances (Archer) McClellan did not live in Coleman County Texas after 2005, the one living child, Mary Burnelle (McClellan) Pittard (b. November 23, 1923) is living in Austin, Texas as of August 28, 2017.
