The Elijah Shanklin McClellan family would travel the 15 miles to town (Coleman, Texas) almost every Friday. They stayed overnight in their wagon in the Wagon Yard. On Saturday they would do their purchasing of goods and groceries, and then return home on Saturday afternoon.
